Life is abound in stresses

Short term, anxiety Eustress, the positive phenomenon

Or a long-term overwhelming, distress,

Affects the wholesome to indisposition

Strong physique, steady mind

And emotionally balanced

The testimony of blooming “Health.”

Overtaxed, may plunge into negativity

An unsound state, The Psychosomatic or Non communicable diseases

Sleeplessness to obesity

Hypertension, diabetes, heart attacks

Rheumatoid arthritis and the cancers

Emotional being, as the man is,

Identifies self with events

Feels exulted or hurt.

Shortfall in achievements, or

Unenviable happenings

Bring in the stress, the mental turmoil,

Frustration or depression!

To fight or flight?

Intellect is numbed

Self is engulfed by rage,

Wisdom fails,

And what entails is devastating,

Ruining the self.

The understanding, awareness

And accepting, as the things are,

Not to react but respond,

Dropping the ego, the “I-sense”

May dissipate the stress.

Yoga comes as blessing and boon.

Pursuant to its indoctrinate

May abrogate the malady

Ashtang, the eight disciplines observed,

Proffer physical, mental, and emotional

Amelioration, spiritual space, and peace

Integrate, Yoga, the evidence based,

For primary, secondary

And even prevention and therapy.

With Modern Medicine, as a high priority

For wholistic care of human being.
